Sweet birch essential oil is an antifungal and a germicide. It helps the clearing of eczema and ring worm as it contains salicylic acid and methyl salicylate.

This essential oil also detoxifies the body by increasing the output of uric acid out of the blood to flush out the system through urination. This also will cleanse the kidneys and help prevent kidney stones and infections.

As an antispasmodic, birch oil eases cramps associated with gastric distress.

Sweet birch essential oil is a stimulant and antidepressant. It helps the nervous, circulatory and digestive systems as well as the endocrinal glands secrete hormones and enzymes that help lower blood pressure and regulate insulin levels.

This is also useful for reducing fevers by encouraging perspiration. More toxins are then removed through the sweat glands.

In aromatherapy sweet birch essential oil is used for mental clarity and stimulating the mind.
